Shopping Mall Despite
concerns about the high learning curve of the Internet for seniors,
LGeshop introduced a senior-centric online shopping center.
Since the seniors had trouble typing and understanding the URL,
LG e-Shop used the NLIA, "lgeshop" (in Korean) so that
the seniors did not have to type any Latin characters at all,
resulting in highly satisfied vendors and consumers. |

Joins.com Profile Directory Profile
Database Provided by Media Portal In
the past, people had to type in the name of the public figure in a
search bar to find information regarding that person. With NLIA, however,
the user could type in the name of the celebrity followed by the words
"celebrity info (in Korean)" (e.g. "Britney Spears
Celebrity Info") to retrieve a profile from Joins.com, a media
portal managed by Joongang Ilbo Media, one of the largest media company
in Korea. |

Chatting & Community Site SayClub
is a Korean Internet portal, well-known for its online communities
and chatting. A new conceptual online soap opera called MyRoomMyRoom
takes the audience into the virtual world of user-generated contents.
Since the Web site was heavily geared toward attracting the youth
culture, it had to do something radical. NLIA became their answer
and since its introduction they have experienced dramatic increase
in traffic. |
